Frequently asked questions about MOTAT's online shop


What forms of payment are accepted for online purchases?

MOTAT online shop gladly accepts Visa, MasterCard and POLipay.


How long will it take for my parcel to arrive?

For orders shipped within Auckland and the North Island, please allow 2-3 business days for delivery.

For orders delivering to rural addresses and the South Island, please allow an extra business day for delivery.

Delivery of orders placed around public holiday times may take longer than the target delivery times set out above.

Please note that due to COVID-19 restrictions and increase in parcel volume there is potential for up to 10 days in delay.

Can orders be shipped internationally?

No. MOTAT shop currently doesn’t offer international shipping.


Do you offer a Saturday delivery?

We don’t currently offer a Saturday delivery service as standard, but email us atretail@motat.org.nz and we will do our best to help.

What do I do if I have a product I want to return?

MOTAT online shop is dedicated to providing quality products to its customers. If you would like to return your order contact us via email at retail@motat.org.nz. Please see Delivery and Returns for further information. 

If I see a product in the MOTAT physical shop can I also buy it online?

While the online shop currently has a limited range, the physical MOTAT shops have over 500 products. Please contact us at retail@motat.org.nz if there is a product you would like sent to you and we will try our best to accommodate your request.


What does it mean when a product is out of stock?

MOTAT online shop shares its stock inventory with the physical MOTAT shops located in Auckland, New Zealand. As a result, all products are subject to availability. Please email us at retail@motat.org.nz.nz with the product name and quantity you are after and we will let you know as soon as this product is back in stock.

Where can I buy tickets, MOTAT Mates and Gift Vouchers?

To purchase general admission tickets, MOTAT Mates and gift vouchers please head over to our main site. Please note that retail and ticketing can not be combined in the cart as it is two different sites.

Do we accept gift vouchers online?

Currently we only accept gift vouchers in store. If you do have a gift voucher you would like to use on an online purchase, please contact us at Retail@motat.org.nz and we can try our best to arrange it.
